The California Department of Justice (DOJ) is required to collect and report statistics on juvenile justice in California. Juvenile Justice in California 2024 provides insight into the juvenile justice process by reporting the number of arrests, referrals to probation departments, petitions filed, and dispositions for juveniles tried in juvenile and adult courts. Law enforcement agencies provide information to DOJ on the number of arrests.
